Type Species:	by original designation: Dianthoecia phoca Möschler, 1864, Wien. ent. Monatschr., 8: 197, pl.5, fig.15 * ---------------- (*) D. phoca was described in the genus Diauthoecia, an incorrect subsequent spelling. The legend to fig.15 was spelled correctly (Nye, 1975, Generic Names of Moths of the World, 1: 268)
